Splash Grid Packing – Type I
Splash Grid Packing – Type I
Splash Grid Packing Type I is a robust grid‑type packing manufactured from polypropylene (PP), designed to improve heat transfer through multi‑stage water break‑up and redistribution.
Its open and stepped structure minimizes clogging and fouling, making it an ideal solution for cooling towers operating with poor water quality, high TDS, or suspended solids, where film fill packings are not suitable.
Applications
- Open circuit industrial cooling towers
- Steel, foundry, and heavy industries
- Petrochemical plants and refineries
- Power plants and process cooling systems
- Cooling systems with hard, dirty, or high‑TSS water
Key Advantages
- Excellent resistance to clogging and scaling
- Very low air pressure drop
- Stable thermal performance under severe operating conditions
- Suitable for high water flow rates
- Easy cleaning and maintenance
- Long service life compared to film fill packings
- Optimized for mechanical draft cooling towers
