Splash Grid Packing – Type Ⅱ
Splash Grid Packing – Type Ⅱ
Splash Grid Packing Type Ⅱ is a splash‑type cooling tower fill designed with an open grid structure that breaks the falling water stream into multiple cascaded droplets. This staged water distribution significantly increases effective air–water contact while avoiding narrow flow passages that are prone to fouling and blockage.
Due to its fully open geometry, this packing is particularly suitable for cooling towers operating with poor water quality, high suspended solids, or scaling conditions.
Applications
- Open‑circuit industrial cooling towers
- Retrofit and replacement of existing splash packing
- Cooling systems using hard water or recycled water
- Steel plants, foundries, petrochemical facilities
- Power plants and heavy‑duty industrial cooling applications
- Systems where fouling resistance is a critical requirement
Advantages
- Excellent resistance to fouling and scaling
- Stable performance under poor water quality conditions
- Very low air pressure drop
- Easy cleaning and maintenance
- Long service life in harsh industrial environments
- Suitable for high water flow rates
